Pictured here is my original mixed media painting “The Guide". Created using clay and acrylics, as well as cotton lace for her dress, and real preserved flowers for the trees. The piece rests inside a vintage gold plated frame with and convex glass. The entire piece measures 26” inches tall and 17” inches wide. Inspired by my love of fairytales. While creating this piece, I imagined a princess running away from her arranged marriage into an enchanted forest near her kingdom, of which she was always forbidden to enter. She then came across a curious fox who then guides her further into the forest, to discover a secret hidden for generations about her kingdom’s past.
